This 'Scoop' Comes Up Empty

This gives nobody, least of all me, any pleasure, but a truth must be faced: "Scoop" is the worst movie Woody Allen has ever made.
Devoid of wit, pleasure, sense, even a trace of recognizable behavior, the movie feels like it was cobbled together without any enthusiasm by people who'd much rather have been somewhere -- anywhere -- else. It's nothing but leftovers, a biting disappointment in view of the fact that Allen's last film, "Match Point," also made in England, had been seen by so many as a career resurrection.
